REPLACE AND RECYCLE POLICY

Modified on Mon, Mar 18 at 3:01 PM

Our replace and recycle policy serves as a blueprint for efficiently managing equipment that has traversed through our support queue without successful repair or has simply reached the end of its operational lifespan. Understanding the environmental impact of e-waste, we prioritize recycling as the default option.

Here's how our policy works:

Evaluation and Assessment:

When equipment has gone through our support queue and is deemed unrepairable by certified repair facilities and undergoes thorough evaluation and assessment by our IT Reliability Technicians team.

Recycling Option:

If your equipment falls into the category of being unrepairable or outdated, you have the option to recycle it through SFM. Mining equipment can become financially unviable over time, and the associated shipping costs may outweigh the benefits of reclaiming the equipment.

Administrative Switch-out Fee

For those opting to replace their equipment with new units from SFM, a nominal administrative switch-out fee of $75.00 per machine is applicable. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with the replacement process and ensures seamless transition to newer, more efficient equipment.

Contract Arrangements:

Should you choose to replace your equipment, a new contract will need to be arranged to reflect the updated terms and conditions. Our team is dedicated to facilitating this process, ensuring minimal disruption to your operations.

End-of-Contract Recycling:

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we offer a free-of-cost recycling option for equipment at the end of its contract term. This provides our clients with a hassle-free way to dispose of equipment that is no longer profitable or practical to maintain.

Environmental Responsibility:

By opting to recycle outdated or irreparable equipment, our customers contribute to reducing e-waste and minimizing the environmental footprint of their operations. SFM ensures that all recycling processes adhere to stringent environmental standards, ensuring responsible disposal and resource recovery.

Through our replace and recycle policy, we empower our customers to embrace environmentally conscious practices while staying at the forefront of technological innovation in the mining industry.
